Refurbishment Standards & Warranty

We have been meeting the needs of powered access platform buyers for over 25 years, and we pride ourselves on the quality of our Approved Used equipment.

All our Approved Used access platforms and lifting equipment are good quality trade-ins from customers who have bought machines from us, or from reputable sources that we know and trust. We scrap or trade the unsound machines, and retail only the best quality access platforms.

Standards you can trust

We offer a number of different levels of refurbishment with varying warranties, so you can be sure you’re getting what you pay for. Find out more details about these standards below, or just visit our Approved Used stock listing to see what is currently available.Each Approved Used machine we trade-in or buy for resale undergoes a comprehensive inspection and renovation programme, carried out by our own qualified engineers in our workshops. This means that we can honestly say (with our hand on our hearts) that if you purchase a certified Approved Used machine from us, it meets all the service and performance levels you should expect, and deserve!

One more thing to mention - we wholeheartedly believe that you should try before you buy! What better way to know and understand the product, than to see it in the flesh? We welcome a visit to our Approved Used equipment centre in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire – just ask, and we can arrange a convenient time.

Our standards & warranty explained

Approved Used equipment will be sold and prepared to one of three standards in our workshops. The planned

 refurbishment standard is stated on each machine record and on the website. All machine prices are ex-works

Gold standard

  • Full repaint to agreed specification
  • New thorough examination and LOLER certificate
  • Engine serviced where applicable
  • Hydraulic oil checked and topped up / changed if required
  • Filters replaced
  • Handrails and steel panelwork etc. straightened as required
  • New batteries fitted
  • All decals replaced, including decorative
  • Hydraulic hoses replaced where damaged / significantly abraded
  • 3 months parts and labour warranty (UK mainland only)

Silver standard

  • New thorough examination and LOLER certificate
  • Batteries checked and if necessary serviceable replacements fitted
  • Minor cosmetic work and paint touch up
  • Minor repairs to steelwork such as handrails and toe boards
  • Hydraulic oil checked and topped up as required
  • Filters replaced as required
  • 2 months parts and labour warranty (UK mainland only)

Bronze standard

  • New thorough examination and LOLER certificate
  • Necessary remedial work to achieve LOLER standard
  • No cosmetic work
  • 1 month parts-only warranty (UK mainland only)
