Niftylift (or Nifty as commonly known) is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of boom lifts, also known as cherry pickers.
The company specialises in compact, low weight articulating boom lifts that combine maximum performance with minimal environmental impact. The renowned low weight and compact dimensions of Niftylift self-propelled booms make transporting them easy and increases their job site versatility, while the articulated boom design gives them a great working envelope. Also available with a state-of-the-art hybrid drive system, this enables their use indoors as well as outside.
Niftylift trailer-mounted booms are known worldwide for being incredibly reliable, robust products with great performance. Towable booms are ideal for contractors as they can be transported easily from site to site and set up quickly. Engineered to be as light and compact as possible, Nifty towable booms provide an excellent working envelope for their size, with working heights ranging from 9m (30ft) to over 21m (69ft).
The company has an international reputation for innovation and has led the industry in several fields. It was the first OEM to introduce hybrid drive system for self-propelled booms and remains the market leader in the development of this technology. Other notable contributions include the Niftylift SiOPS secondary guarding system to help prevent injuries or deaths caused by overhead crushing. Niftylift's ToughCage combines an impact-resistant composite base and steel cage to protect the operator and absorb impact force, preventing damage to the boom sections.
This commitment to innovation saw it receive two prestigious Queen's Awards for Enterprise, in Innovation and in International Trade, both in 2013. The same year, European equipment rental companies also voted Niftylift as Supplier of the Year at the Hire Association Excellence awards.
