Well, you’ll be pleased to know that we consider ourselves somewhat experts in all things powered you’ve definitely landed on the right site!

IAPS Group was formed in early 2013 as a merger between Access Platform Sales Ltd (APS) and Independent Parts and Service Ltd (IPS), two UK-based companies, each with a long and successful history of supporting owners and operators of powered access platforms.

Making it easy

We are a team of industry professionals, experienced engineers, sales enthusiasts, purchasers, and problem solvers, all working together to bring our customers the very best service in the simplest possible way. Making it easy is not just our motto, but our way of doing business!

It is our mission (and we choose to accept it) to offer true nationwide support to all owners and operators of aerial work platforms, including:

  • Sales of new and refurbished equipment

  • Supply of replacement parts including manufacturer’s original components, generic parts and reconditioned items

  • Comprehensive maintenance and repair services, both on-site and in our workshop facilities across the country

The early years

APS was created in 1987 by founder and Managing Director Jim Daintith. Over its 25 year history, Jim created the UK’s leading independent powered access sales operation, having ties with manufacturers such as Genie, Niftylift and Snorkel which go back almost to the company’s beginnings.

In recent years the company became sole UK distributors for Hinowa, Omme and Youngman BoSS, and has developed a reputation as a leading provider of quality used equipment. Our headquarters at Upton near Huntingdon in the UK has a dedicated equipment refurbishment centre and specialist parts department.

IPS was formed a few years later in 2001, but in its 11 years of trading, has expanded rapidly to become Europe’s leading supplier of replacement parts to the powered access industry. Operating from headquarters in Telford UK, our facilities include a 4,600 sq m workshop space and an extensive parts warehouse, as well as a large support team assisting customers with parts sales, despatch and technical advice from Telford, Shropshire.

Over the years IPS has gained the trust of several major manufacturers to provide parts fulfilment and warranty support on their behalf, and forged some strong relationships with the major access rental companies to provide parts, after-sales service and breakdown repairs for their entire fleets.

In addition, IPS support a large number of end-user customers with maintenance, LOLER inspections and on-site repairs....on last count its was well over 3000 platforms!

A merger of equals

The newly combined company brings together IPS’s unrivalled parts and after-sales business with APS’s strength in new and used equipment sales, to create the UK’s largest distributor and support agent for powered access.
